Well, we are having a baby girl! We found out last week and we are so excited. My mind is racing with all the cute stuff there is out there for little girls. All the cute clothes, bedroom stuff, so many things to get excited about! We will have a little princess.
We went to Babies R Us to get the registry going, and Tim picked out a bunch of stuff....of course he had to put Eagles baby bottles and Phillies pacifiers on there...but what was so cute, was that whenever we passed anything that said "Daddy's little girl" or any wording of the like, he put it on the registry. Bibs, blankets, onesies....he was so cute...

There are only 4 days left until we find out if we're having a boy or girl. I don't think I have ever felt more excited about anything (except this whole baby experience as a whole). My baby belly is just starting to 'show' and I am loving it!!!! And, I love the maternity clothes. Maybe when I am huge and ready to pop, I won't feel the same (but maybe I will?), but right now I love it! I cannot even explain it!
On another topic, a friend of mine just told me her and her man were just pre-approved for a loan to buy a house, so now they are house hunting. Just under a year and a half from now, or perhaps a little sooner, we will be house hunting again. That is our plan! So far, we are on the right track. But who knows what little or big surprises may occur in that time, with our little one!

YAY! Tim's cousin had her baby this evening!! 5 days early. If my baby is 5 days early, he/she will be born on MY b-day!!! :) They opted not to find out the gender, and they knew for the first time today when the baby was born, that they have a brand new baby BOY!! Tim's cousin has 4 sisters, so a little boy will be new to them all! As Tim was telling me the happy news...I slowly began to think....I AM NEXT in the family....that has never been my spot before, and now it's me next...can't wait! I will have my baby in the same hospital, with the same doctors as Tim's cousin...so I will be sure to get a full report! I can't wait to meet their new little peanut!!
On another happy note, another friend of mine is pregnant, and so that brings the tally up to 7 people that I know who are pregnant, counting myself. And 2 of them are due within 4 days of each other! How exciting. Babies, babies, babies. I want lots!! :)

Well I officially am convinced that I have felt the baby move inside of me at this point. Still not very frequent and the feeling is very light. But, after feeling the feeling a few times over the past week, at scattered times, I am now convinced it is my baby! I am 16 weeks as of today so now I an entering my 17th week. I have a dr's appt on Monday and then 3 weeks from then is a big day -- my 30 week ultrasound. Two big milestones there: 1) Marks my half way point in the pregnancy, and 2) we will find out if we're having a boy or girl! Well, hopefully the little bugger will move around enough or be in the right position for them to be able to tell clearly. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, we found out a friend of ours is pregnant and she's only 5 weeks behind me, so now I've got a pregnancy buddy!!

Ok, has anyone ever had a sinus infection, migraine headache, and constant runny nose and coughing all at the same time? Ok, now has anyone had all of this and not been able to take any medication for any of it? Ugh. This week has been awful. Tim has been sick all week too, but he has been taking medicine (out of my sight of course!!!)
I just want my head to explode so it won't hurt as much.
|Sunday, January 22nd, 2006|
It's Sunday mid morning and I feel like crap. My ears are all stuffy and my head hurts and my throat is somewhat scratchy but doesn't hurt as of now. It's so hard to NOT take any medicine to make myself feel better. Oh well. I'll survive.
I keep waiting to feel my baby move. Should be in the next couple weeks when I feel him/her. Could be sooner rather than later. I will just not know until it happens. But I think it will be really neat. As of right now the baby is about 4 inches or so. So tiny! I can't wait for the 20 week ultrasound to see if the little darling is a boy or a girl. Then...I will be out buying things!! I bought 2 sleepers already that are so cute that could be for a boy or girl. And Tim got a cute onesie from CanCun for the baby this past week. So cute. Friends have been sending us cute things (little toys, clothes) in the mail and it's so fun to come home and see a little surprise at the door!!!!
Ok time to hit the showers and head to meet all the girls for an early dinner show in Media. I am not feeling up to it but I already paid to go. So off I go.

|Well I already knew this...
|Farm or Ranch|
You scored 18 out of 40 on urban-rural and 15 out of 40 land intensity.
|People know you as: The Milkmaid|
Quote: "You get to not mind the cow smell."
Your score indicates that you prefer a rural atmosphere to an urban one and low land intensity. You’re no hermit though; you like other people and, once you start talking to them, other people like you. As far as you’re concerned there is no difference between living in a city and living in a suburb, not that you would want to do either because you’re probably a bit scared of cities in the first place.
Examples of places you should live: Amish country, PA; Kansas
Secluded Hideaway / Farm or Ranch / Small Town / Little City / Suburb / Streetcar Suburb / Rowhouse 'Hood / Downtown Loft
|My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:|
||You scored higher than 21% on urban-rural|
||You scored higher than 7% on land intensity|

We got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time today. Pretty neat. Also got lectured that I haven't gained any weight yet and I'm 13 weeks. But other than that, everything is going smoothly. Now it's time to go EAT.
|Saturday, January 7th, 2006|
Oh man I was so sick for 2 days. Thursday I left work because I threw up all my lunch and it wasn't the 'morning sickness' feeling , it was actual SICK feeling. I was all spacey and sweating with shivers. So I just snuck out of work for the rest of the day. I got home and I was so out of it. I couldn't even keep down gingerale or water, everything just kept coming back up, I felt so horrible. Meanwhile, I was worried about making sure I was eating so the baby would be fed! But I could NOT keep anything down. So the next day, Friday, I tried to eat and the same thing. I called my dr, and she told me that if I went for the whole day agian without being able to eat or drink, I would need to go to the hospital to get fluids and nutrients put in me so that the baby would get what he/she needs. Ugh....so, I ate soup, but it took me like 3 hours to eat it because I ate so slowly so it wouldn't come back up. It was horrible.
Then, by last night, I was feeling much better and started to be able to eat a little more and keep it down, and fluids too. I felt much better, just extremely exhausted. I got up this morning and I feel pretty good. I had like a 36 hour bug or something, it was horrible....then I remembered that Tim's sister's kids had the same thing earlier this week and I saw them on Tuesday when they were first showing signs of not feeling well....little buggers got me sick!!! Oh well...I am better now. Just in time for the weekend.
I want to put away all my winter clothes that are snug....I am just starting to feel a little snug in some of my pants in the waist. Some of my regular pants i can still wear with no problem. But some are not comfortable. So, time to put some stuff away and clear some room for maternity clothes....I only have a few pairs of maternity pants that you can't even tell they are maternity ones. And I LOVE them, they are so freaking comfy. Especially the jeans. I LOVE THEM. I am loving being pregnant so far. I think it is the coolest thing I have ever experienced so far. Of course I was experiencing the morning sickness that goes with it, but I am done that part now. Just still have the tiredness. But, I know I will be even more tired once the baby is born!
Oh, I am officially into my second trimester now. :)

Sweet. I love Christmas bonuses.
|Sunday, December 4th, 2005|
Has anyone heard from my brother Andrew? He has been ignoring my calls and emails for a week and a half now.
Ok, the secret is pretty much out, we're having a baby in July! I'm only in my 8th week so far. Family and some friends know. My manager knows at work and the rest will find out soon enough. My work Christmas party will be when I'm in my 10th week. I am one of the 'ring leaders' normally with the drinking at the party....there's no way I'd be able to hide my secret since they will all be like "do a shot" the second I walk in. So, I guess that is when my coworkers will find out!
I woke up this morning to a beautiful back yard covered in snow. I love the way it looks on the trees back there. This does not change my opinion on the fact that I *hate* snow. It only looks nice. That's it.
I think we're getting our Christmas tree today, yay! Current Mood: happy

It's Friday morning and once again I am stalling to go to work.
This week has been a good week. Work is starting to get out of the 'crunch' phase and things are starting to be less stressful there. AND it's FRIDAY! Tomorrow the family is coming over for a buffet here cooked by non other than me. Oh ok, fine, Tim will be doing most of the cooking, because it's his favorite thing to do (besides eat the food). My mom's b-day is on Sunday so we're all getting together for that. RONCO rotisserrie chicken, here I come. Not sure what else we're having....but there will be lots!

|Friday, November 4th, 2005|
Ok so here I am stalling again to get a move on it for work. But it's Friday. So I am happy! Just knowing that I relax this weekend is nice. We are doing nothing tonight except probably sitting home and playing a game of SORRY. We've begun a Friday night game night. Saves money and we actually have fun. We're lame.
Oh, best of all, it's PAYDAY Friday. My favorite kind! I want to get a jump on Christmas shopping. i already have some gifts. But I'd like to get a lot of stuff maybe this weekend. I ordered a bunch of stuff from LLBean because they have nice clothes and it's free shipping from now til Christmas. Gotta love that.
Ok I guess I am just babbling. Time to go get ready for work. I'm already later than I wanted to be. But I don't have any meetings til 10:00 so I have plenty of time to get in before I'm 'late'.
Oh, I never signed up for a membership to classmates.com. I mean I put my info in, but I never paid to be a member or whatever. A couple people have contacted me over the years. Well as I was checking my mail this morning, there was an email that I had a message on classmates from 'an old flame'. So I went to see what it was, and Steve sent me a message. It was actually very nice, to my surprise considering he was such a bastard. I guess time can make a person grow up a little. But I had to laugh, because I guess he used the link I put on there for my wedding pictures, and his first sentence was "Let me start off by saying that Timmy looks like one of the Beatles". hehehe
Ok, off to work!
|Friday, October 28th, 2005|
Well my Friday turned out crappy thus far. So did last night. My poor dog showed signs of excruciating pain when we got home from work last night (crying, shaking, etc). Also bleeding from his undercarriage. So we took him to the ER vet. His bladder was completely full, that was what was causing him such pain. After an X-ray, turns out he has more bladder stones, which was what we figured when we saw the pain he was in. So this morning he had surgery and he is spending the next couple days at the Vet's to be monitored.
This is the 3rd time in a year and a half. While it's expensive, my worry is for Butkis. The vet told us that each time the bladder is opened, of course there is scar tissue when it heals. Eventually, if this keeps happening, there will be nothing but scar tissue holding his bladder. And then if he keeps getting stones and they keep opening up his bladder and closing it, the stitches would eventually have nothing to hold on to securely, as scar tissue is not very strong, especially in a place like the bladder. He was warming us up to the idea, that if this happens a 4th time to him (that he gets more bladder stones), that we may need to put him to sleep. That we can't keep cutting open his bladder and sewing it back up. That it just won't work. If we keep doing it, eventually either the stitches won't hold at all and then he gets put to sleep then anyways after all the pain. Or, when it gets to the point his bladder is not strong anymore, and then gets more stones blocking, his bladder will just burst. And that will cause him excruciating pain he and would die from that.
So. Once he heals this time around, I feel like he doesn't have much time left with us. And he's only 4 years old. My poor puppy. The dr is going to try to help make the stones not form. But, he said HIS dog has gotten them twice in a year, that some dogs are just prone to them, no matter what you do. Just like humans, it just happens even if you do exactly what you're supposed to.
My poor Butkis.

YAY it is my Friday today, I have off tomorrow (yes I can make whatever rules I want!)
Today at work will suck, but I got a promotion and a raise this week so I am still happy about that. So that may make work suck just a little less today. Work is just stressing me out this week. So I am REALLY looking forward to having off tomorrow!
Tim and I plan to sleep in tomorrow, then tackle a couple items we've been procrastinating on, like switching the car insurance over, etc. Boring stuff. Then maybe go to the movies. Then we are meeting his mom and grandparents for dinner. Then going to bed whenever we feel like it.
Saturday we'll head to the city. That will be much fun.
Off to work I go for the day.
|Tuesday, October 25th, 2005|
|Friday can't come soon enough
Well I kind of don't feel like going to work just yet or getting in the shower just yet. So I will stall and write in here.
Tim and I decided that instead of taking a trip to Williamsburg, and spending money on gas and sight-seeing, that we will instead get a hotel room in Center City Saturday night. We'll just take the train to the city so we won't have to worry about paying for parking. And we are going to get all dressed up and hit the bars. I think my old spot Cuba Libre will be the spot for dinner. Not sure yet. They make damn good watermelon martinis though. I plan to bar hop at the nice bars. Since we will only go for one night and not pay for gas, parking, or sight-seeing like we would have for 2 nights/days in Williamsburg, we can just splurge in the city. We need a nice night out together. We both took off Friday and we will sleep in and do whatever the hell we feel like. Then head to the city Saturday afternoon. I once was a center city girl, there partying every weekend, dressed to the nines. I love it out in the 'country' now, but sometimes I just need to get back to the city and act like I have a lot of money in the upscale bars. It's just fun now and again. So Tim will put on a suit and me some sort of fancy outfit, and off we will go. It's fun to play dress up sometimes. hee hee!
